Tree trimming is the removal of branches for clearance, appearance, or access. It differs from pruning in that the primary driver is usually external. You need the tree to stop touching the roof. Trimming can overlap with pruning when the branches being removed are also dead or structurally problematic, but the defining purpose of trimming is managing the tree in relation to the space around it.

Larger branches are not dropped free. We rig and lower heavy sections to avoid impact on the lawn, surrounding plantings, fencing, or any structures in the drop zone.
Cuts are made at the appropriate location on each branch, outside the branch collar. This allows the tree to respond correctly and seal the cut over time. Flush cuts and stub cuts both interfere with the tree's natural wound response and are not part of how we work.
All removed material is cleared from the property. If the homeowner wants the wood left for firewood or the chips left as mulch, we accommodate that. Otherwise, everything leaves with us.
